There are many parties and events for the adults on New Year’s Eve, but what can you do with the kids so they could have a little fun?
Here is a listing of activities for the kids to do during the day, early evening, and night of December 31st.
ZOO YEAR’S EVE
December 31
5 – 9 p.m.
On the brink of a brand new year, children can also experience the fun of Zoo Year’s Eve, a wild New Year’s Eve party beginning at 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 with entertainment and activities that lead up to an early countdown to the New Year at 9 p.m. It’s the perfect night for families to celebrate together without stretching the limit on bedtime!
The Children’s Museum
Noon Year’s Eve is a party full of glittery glitzy ball drops, a plaza full of bubble wrap fireworks, rainbows of confetti, millennium art projects, laughter and FUN! Let your kids yell to the countdown every hour on the hour from 10 AM to 2 PM. The bubble wrap jump will keep them active and excited. FREE for members and $5.00 for others.
Downtown Denver will have two FREE fireworks shows: one at 9 PM and the other at midnight. The 9 PM show is especially for early birds and children. You can also drive by the many brightly decorated buildings around downtown; The City and County buildings, Larimer Square, Union Station, Skyline Park, Denver Pavilions, the 16th Street Mall and the historic D & F Tower. Share the magic of these decorations with your kids this New Year’s Eve.
I am sure there are other events in the surrounding suburbs I just can’t seem to find the information. Let us know if you find any other fun New Year’s events for the children.
Have a safe and happy holiday.
