This is probably more for the dads. I found that the Value Pak in the mail has a coupon for a Buy One Get One Free round of golf at the South Glenn County Club.

The offer expires June 7th, and you need to call ahead and say you are using the coupon.

Free Bowling for Kids all Summer

AMF Bowling Centers is offering children 2 FREE games of bowling every day this summer. Most AMF lanes in the Denver area are participating. The location for south Denver/Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree would be the lanes at

Click here for instructions on how the program works and links to each of the lanes and their registration forms (as well as address and phone number). You can only sign up for one bowling center, so choose one close to you.

Follow the instructions on the program page to register. Then you will be emailed links to coupons each week for those two FREE games a day. When you register you can also purchase a Family Pass, which allow up to four adults or older children to also bowl two games a day. The pass is $27.95 and good for the entire summer.

Ice Skating for a Buck

Public Skating at South Suburban skate rink is $1 on Thursday June 17th from 6-7:30pm.

Enjoy $1 admission, $1 skate rental, and $1 snack bar specials.

Go-Carting on the Cheap

The new indoor Go-cart track near Lone Tree has some weekly specials and has carts for both kids and adults. Speed Raceway officially opens this weekend, but they have been up and running for about a month now.

Children ages 5-10 between 48″ (4ft) and 56″ (4ft 8in) in height can drive the junior carts and pre-teens and teenagers can race, no driver’s license necessary!

There is a Lunch Hour Special
Go during lunch time Monday through Friday between 10:00a.m. and 2:00p.m. and an adult race will be $16/race (12 lap race) instead of $20.

There is also a 2 for 1 special on Tuesdays.

During the grand opening period the lunch special and 2 for 1 have been honored on Tuesdays. Not sure how long that deal will last.

Have fun, go fast and turn often.

South Suburban ice skating rink is having a monthly special called “Buck-a-Roo” and all things are just $1.

The next scheduled Dollar Day is this Saturday April 17th from 1-3pm.

The rink is located at Arapahoe and University just north of the SouthGlenn mall. The official address is 6580 S. Vine Street, Centennial for those with a GPS as you will need one. The rink is tucked away behind some houses and boxed in by Goodson park.

Denver Nuggets Basketball Skills Challenge

A FREE competition for boys and girls ages 7 to 14. This competition is a test of their dribbling, passing and shooting skills. The top boy and girl in each age group have the opportunity to attend a statewide competition. Pre-registration is not required.
